In maths we have been learning about addition and subtraction. We had lots of fun playing addition and subtraction board games.

In computing we have been learning about programming. We practised programming the Beebots and sending them to people in our group. We had to remember to clear the Beebot once it had completed each set of instructions.

Year 1 really enjoyed their trip to Liverpool Musuem to look at old and new toys. We made a toy timeline and we even got the opportunity to play with the old and new toys.

Last week we had been reading Jack and the beanstalk. The children made golden harps all by themselves using their fine motor skills and many skills.

The children have created and decorated their own Chinese dragon head with a body to hide under.

We have started the Chinese New Year celebrations by making rattle drums and having prawn crackers during snack.
