The children have been having lots of fun so far. They have been placing the bones on each other , making stick skeletons and cutting and sticking funny bone skeleton characters back together.
We are very excited to have the children back after the half term. This is the type of activities we will be completing when returning back to school, as well as lots of activities outside too!
Please make sure Reception children bring there autumn treasure bags on Monday. We will be discussing what the children have found and will be using them in our outdoor mud kitchen, To create witchy brews.
Our children were really focused making a witch’s cave, they were experimenting with lots of different materials . Take a look!
Next week the children will be reading room on the broom, ready for Halloween time. We have decorated the classroom with lots of witch’,s and wizard things. If you have anything you would like to donate to make our learning areas even better, we would gladly appreciate it!
We can form numbers using play-dough, see if you can have a go at doing this at home. You might want to use salt and sugar to draw the number or shapes too.
Play dough recipe:
200g flour
200g salt
100g water
Food colouring or paint
Mix together to form a dough.
The children have been learning numbers 0-10 and showing ways of representing a number. They can work together to use a ten frame to represent a numeral.
